Basil 202, also known as “The Studio,” is a learning space for media and communication students. The studio, however, no longer meets students’ needs and has not been renovated in nearly 20 years.
Recognizing this, the college will fully renovate the space during summer 2026.
Student Kadence Cohen, who frequently uses the studio, produced a short video outlining the proposed renovations. The video includes interviews with Dr. Jim Bowman, chair of the Division of Literature, Communications and the Arts, and Ann Marie Fallon, dean of the School of Arts and Sciences.
