Red, Yellow, Green

A knife entering your soul till you can’t feel it any more.

A hand reaching to take it out to patch you back up.

So you may heal right?

It’s the same hand that may make that wound re-open.

Don’t let your sight, mistaken people for who they truly are.

Red, it’s not hard to miss that flag tells you all you need to know.

When you see it, don’t overlook it.

But Red is a color that is not hard to miss.

You can’t paint the picture with only Green because there’s three signs before you can go.

Just like Bob Marley the signs are everywhere.

Yellow is the color you take a pause.

Wonder if you want to move on-

You think about if the Red makes you stop before you can actually go,

because all these signs matter.

When you figure out everything you need to know

You no longer need help to heal because your hand can reach for that knife that was once in your soul.

Now you can put yourself back together

And by that time

The light will turn green and you can go.

– Kessan VanGronigen

Love in Words

i won’t love you with actions,

but i’ll love you with words.

the ones you can read over and over,

the ones that make you realize

that the way i see you,

is so much better than the way you see yourself.

you see yourself as mistakes,

i see you as love, familiarity, memories.

i see you for you, more than for who you could be.
