The Plant of Life — A Poem

The Plant of Life

I arouse one day, a seed planted into the ground

I will flourish but eventually fall and be re-built

I’m in the center of the world

As I look up I see only one thing standing in between the world and me

Nature

I am the sunrise that sets to depart at my time

When it pours my seed sprouts and I rise

As daybreaks and the nightfall passes

The others flourish by

They come and go just like a cycle that never ends

I can drop back into the soil any second because of nature

Steam

Cyclone

Sun

Blizzard

All natural disasters that can make me perish

When I seek beyond my forthcoming

I wonder will I live again

Looking into the white dense turbulent

Further than I reach thinking

Will I see the leaves be reborn

Will I be as tall and firm as the others

Because just in a second I can be gone

A human form can walk by

Drop a reefer and I can be gone

I can be melted like a skull on fire or a burning wood and turn into ash

We can be zapped out of existence

Deforestation

And no one will care

But I will live again

I will continue to grow

And grow.

When that day comes

I will be ready

To be awakened and animate all over again

I really enjoyed your word choice, felt like you were able to control the imagery and give the correct feeling that you were trying to put out. Nice poem!
